Investors from China want to grow soybeans and produce agricultural machinery in Bashkiria

UFA, 29 October 2019. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/.
Representatives of the Chinese business delegation during negotiations in the Bashkortostan Development Corporation spoke about their plans to produce combines and tractors in the republic. In their opinion, the project is considered promising, since a shortage of agricultural machinery is observed not only in the republic but throughout Russia. Another project discussed at the talks was the cultivation and deep processing of soybeans.
“Last year, China purchased over 90 million tons of soybeans, of which less than 1 million tons were shipped from Russia. Now we are looking for a suitable land of 10 thousand hectares and considering the Blagoveshchensk district, as it has a geographically convenient location and a suitable climate for cultivating this crop, ”said the representative of the Chinese delegation, Zhuang Yongong.
According to the results of the season October 2017 - September 2018, Russian soybean exports reached a record of 0.9 million tons, including about 0.8 million tons were shipped to China. Soybean is mainly grown in the Far East, but the territory of Bashkortostan is also suitable for the oil crop.
The third project that Chinese investors want to implement in Bashkiria is the processing of chicken manure into fertilizer.
“The Chinese professor came up with a know-how technology that has already shown a positive result. We developed the program in general terms; now the most important thing is how many tons of chicken manure can be produced by poultry farms of the republic, Zhuang Yongong commented on.
Recall that the Development Corporation of Bashkortostan is engaged in comprehensive support of investment projects at all stages of their implementation - from concept development to commissioning of facilities.
