Russian Energy Forum began its work in Ufa

Today, the 25th “Urals Energy” International Exhibition opened in Ufa featuring a record number of the largest domestic and foreign developers, generators, and suppliers of energy and electrical equipment. 130 companies from 25 regions of Russia and seven countries of the world - Germany, Switzerland, France, the Czech Republic, Poland, China, and Belarus placed their stands at the exposition.

The Russian Energy Forum traditionally starts along with the exhibition in Ufa - a business venue with the leading industry experts from Russia and foreign countries.

The Interim Deputy Prime Minister Raif Abdrakhimov noted at the opening of the forum that much attention was paid to the development of energy in the republic. “We are actively building solar power plants. The total solar power reached 44 megawatts in the region. Small-scale hydropower plants are being built in Bashkortostan”, said Raif Abdrakhimov.

In Bashkiria, the Bugulchanskaya and Buribaevskaya solar power plants (SPP) operate, launched in 2015 and 2016 in the energy-deficient Khaibullinsky and Kuyurgazinsky districts. At the end of 2017, the Isyangulovskaya SPP began its work. The plans include the construction of solar power plants in the Burzyansky and Sterlibashevsky districts with a total capacity of 35 MW.

A meeting on the development of solar energy will be held on the sidelines of the forum. Besides, a project will be implemented to install a pilot solar station on the roof of one of the Ufa schools. It is funded by the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
