Radiy Khabirov spoke about plans for deep grain processing development in region

In Bashkiria, it is planned to develop a project for the deep processing of grain to make products for the regional chemical industry. It was announced by the Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, following a meeting with Dmitry Medvedev at the “Golden Autumn” Russian Agricultural Exhibition.

According to the head of the republic, at present, the project for deep processing of grain is at the stage of investment study.

“Bashkiria is involved in all the projects of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, and if we count them, then we will see that about 40 billion rubles came to the republic with these or those programs. These are loans and subsidies. We are working on an increase in processing. We have gone such a boom, a great interest of entrepreneurs in milk. The September decree has set an ambitious goal: to increase the production of marketable milk to 1 million 200 thousand tons, now it is 700 thousand tons. Therefore, we assume that we will have milk; therefore processing should be available in Bashkiria. The business responses very quickly to this. At the last “Investment Hour” session on October 8, the construction of the second line of the Ufa dairy plant was considered. Work is in full swing everywhere, and in general, everything is quite good”, said Radiy Khabirov.

The pace of agricultural production is encouraging: last year, grain harvest amounted to 3 million tons, this year - 3.2 million tons.

The plans of the leadership of the republic also include light industry development.
