It is planned to spend more than 100 million rubles on the development of eight national parks in Russia as part of the “Ecology” national project in 2019, Kommersant reports citing the Agency for Strategic Initiatives. It is announced that parks recognized as objects with promising tourism potential will receive funds for the creation of infrastructure.
This list includes national parks "Lake Pleshcheyevo" in the Yaroslavl region, "Tunkinsky" in Buryatia, "Zyuratkul" and "Taganay" in the Chelyabinsk region, "Bashkiria" in the Republic of Bashkortostan, "Ugra" in the Kaluga region, "Pribaikalsky" in the Irkutsk region and "Russian North" in the Vologda region.
At the same time, two national parks in the Chelyabinsk region and one in Bashkortostan are considered from the point of view of the cluster approach. The total cost of the project to develop the infrastructure of the Taganai National Park will amount to more than 22.2 million rubles in 2019. The Ministry of Natural Resources plans to allocate 10 million rubles to Zyuratkul, and more than 12.5 million rubles to Bashkiria, the Agency for Strategic Initiatives informs.
