Pensions will increase in Russia since January 1, 2020

More than 30 million Russians will begin to receive increased indexed pensions since January 1, 2020, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the Ministry of Labor.

Payment will increase by 6.6 percent, which will significantly exceed the level of expected inflation - 3.8 percent.

Starting April 1, 2020, it is also planned to increase state security pensions in accordance with the increase in the pensioner's living wage in 2019 - preliminary by 7 percent. Such a measure will affect about 4 million Russians, of which 3.2 million receive social pensions.

As Bashinform News Agency reported earlier, there are now 1.2 million pensioners in the republic. This year, expenses for the payment of pensions and monthly cash payments amounted to 169 billion rubles in Bashkiria.
