Unemployed number fell to 82 thousand people in Bashkiria

The number of unemployed in Bashkiria fell to 82.2 thousand people on average in May-July 2019, the republican Ministry of Labor reports citing the results of the latest survey of labor statistics by the methodology of the International Labor Organization.
For comparison: a year ago, according to the Federal State Statistics Service, there were 90.5 thousand unemployed in Bashkiria.
The number of employed people in the region now exceeds 1.8 million people, which corresponds to a population employment rate of 55.2%.
The general unemployment rate in Bashkiria amounted to 4.3% of the economically active population. In the whole country, this indicator reached 4.5%, in the Volga Federal District - 4.1%.
Meanwhile, more than 34.6 thousand residents of the republic have received official unemployed status since the beginning of the year. It is 17.9% more than in January-August 2018.
By September 1, there were over 19.6 thousand unemployed registered in employment centers of the region.
The registered unemployment rate, as of September 1, amounted to 1.01%, having increased by 0.03 percentage points compared to the beginning of the year, the Ministry of Labor RB reports.
