Bashkiria faces liquidation of 25 million cubic meters of waste and “CHIMPROM” sanitation

In the nearest five years Bashkiria faces wide-scaled liquidation of waste, including scrap, dangerous for ecology. Acting Minister for ecology RB Ural Iskandarov stated, giving comments to the decree of the Head RB Radi Khabirov and its challenges, that more than 2,9 thousand not-acting and ownerless dumps, where more than 25 million cubic meters of waste are piled up, have to be recultivated and 21 billion rubles necessary for that. As acting Minister explained, regional operators will erect two garbage-recycling plants in two regions of Bashkiria. 10 garbage-sorting centers and 10 polygons will be opened in the region. Federal budget will allocate 117 million rubles and Republican budget-676 million. At present time Russia recycles 7% of garbage. In accordance with the national project “Ecology” garbage recycling share has to reach 36% by 2024. Ufa-city allocated 25 million rubles for design estimates on recultivation of “CHIMPROM” former territory. After that it is planned to file an application for obtaining federal means at the rate of more than 3 billion rubles. Bashkiria can co-finance the project at the rate of 400-500 million rubles with participation of a city budget.
