Bashkir Ministry for industry wants 500 million rubles for light industry reanimation

In order to develop the plan of measures for development of light industry in Bashkiria it is necessary to explore the possibility to allocate 466 million rubles annually from Republican reserve fund, acting Minister for industry and innovational policy RB Farit Gilmanov stated during parliamentary hearings today. “In case we approve the plan for light industry development in the region, it will let us in 2019-2024 increase volumes of dispatched output two times and double the share of light industry in processing branches from 0,6 to 1,4%. Besides, we’ll manage to attract investments for the sum of more than one billion rubles, open more than 600 new workplaces and start production of synthetic fiber, leather, flax and hemp processing” – he declared. At the same time, as the first deputy Minister for financing RB Lilia Istamgalina said, 80% of the plan presented demand budget funding. “The budget allocates 26,9 million rubles but you want almost half a billion. Besides, the plan has to contain calculations and now we have no such data”. The head of the Republican Ministry promised all substantiations and calculations of the plan will be ready during one week. In opinion of Bashkir parliament’s speaker Constantine Tolkachev light industry is one of few branches, which really need all-sided backing due to quite objective reasons. “After the USSR breakdown the majority of light industry enterprises appeared to be located beyond Russian borders. In spite of all steps, undertaken by Republican government on light industry funding, it still requires more attention and corresponding legislative acts, financial support, constant renovation and modernization – all that should stay among top priority governmental steps, necessary for reanimation of the branch”. For information: on August 1 there are 344 light industrial enterprises in Bashkiria with more than 6 thousand people, working there, and at that women form 90% of them. Average wage in the branch exceeds 18 thousand rubles – two-three times less than in other processing branches.
