Ministry for labor set minimal wage size on 2020

Ministry for labor set a new minimal wage size. In 2020 it will be equal to 12130 rubles, “Russian Newspaper” reports, referring to the corresponding Russian government’s bill. On September 12 the bill will be under consideration at a meeting of the workgroup of Russian three-sided commission for regulation of social-labor relations. In accordance with the present legislation minimal wage has to be equal to subsistence wage of an able-bodied person. And since it is altered every year, a corresponding law, which sets minimal wage for the next year, has to be passed. The subsistence wage in the second quarter is taken as a basic one. Thus, in 2019 subsistence wage in the second quarter was equal to 12130 rubles. Subsistence wage-2020 will be set on the same level. If the bill is supported by Russian three-sided commission, it will be introduced to consideration by State Duma.
