Bashkiria is taking part in 46th Congress “Apimondia” in Canada

Solemn opening ceremony of the International Bee-Keeping Federation’s 46th Congress and international exhibition “Api-Expo-2019” has taken place in Montreal in September. Bashkortostan’s delegation is taking part in the Congress and the exhibition with an exhibition stand, where Bashkiria and Ufa are presented as a venue of the next 47th Congress. Bashkir delegation will stay in Canada till September 12th and at the end of this event the Congress’s baton will be passed to Republic of Bashkortostan. The first International bee-keeping congress has taken place in Brussels, Belgium. International bee-keeping association “Apimondia” was founded in 1949 during the XIII international bee-keeping congress in Amsterdam. At present time it unites 118 bee-keeping unions from 52 countries and Russian Ministry of agriculture and Russian national bee-keepers’ union are also the members of “Apimondia”.
