Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat company has an on-going large-scale catalytic cracking complex project, and the company plans to create the country's first production of superabsorbents. The director of the enterprise, Ayrat Karimov, spoke about this to Acting Head of the Republic Radiy Khabirov.
Besides, it is planned to modernize the refinery and the Monomer plant. The head of the republic examined the hydrotreatment, short-cycle adsorption and isomerization units of the pentane-hexane fraction. Radiy Khabirov also inspected the acrylic acid plant, which was commissioned in 2017. This is the most massive production of acrylic acid, glacial acrylic acid in the country - raw materials for the production of paints and varnishes, hygiene and cosmetics. According to representatives of the enterprise, the production of glacial acrylic acid allows creating the production of superabsorbents - materials with high absorbency. The plant today employs 390 people. Another major investment project that Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat is implementing is a catalytic cracking complex. The complex will receive high-octane components of marketable gasoline. The construction of the complex is 75% completed and will be commissioned in 2021. According to the project, up to 200 people will work here.
In total, 16,400 people currently work at all Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat enterprises.
Radiy Khabirov noted the uniqueness of the enterprise, which is one of the flagships of the petrochemical industry. According to him, it is important that the company paid great attention to reducing harmful emissions, which residents of Salavat previously complained about. By the way, in the city, there will be three additional stations for measuring air.
