Bashkiria Control and Audit Chamber revealed financial irregularities for 26.6 billion rubles

In the first seven months of this year, the Bashkortostan Chamber of Control and Audit revealed violations amounting to more than 26.6 billion rubles. In percentage terms, this is almost 60% of the total number of violations detected for 2016-2019, the auditors noted.

In general, for 2016-2019, violations were detected in the republic when using budget funds, disposing, and managing state property in the amount of 44.768 billion rubles.

The number of materials submitted to law enforcement has also increased markedly.

Thus, if in 2016 49 cases were directed to law enforcement bodies, then last year - 143. In the first seven months of 2019, the inspectors of the Control and Audit Chamber submitted 88 materials to law enforcement bodies. This is more than 27% of the total number of cases. 160 materials with signs of criminal offenses were identified.

Since 2016, according to the facts of violations detected by officials, the staff of the Bashkiria Control and Audit Chamber have drawn up 166 administrative protocols. During the same time, justices of the peace imposed fines totaling more than 1.8 million rubles.

“Strengthening of interagency cooperation is one of the important factors influencing the positive trend of our performance indicators”, the press service of the Chamber of Control and Audit of the region emphasized.
