Bashkiria will additionally finance Utair Airline for 80 million rubles

The following year, the budget of Bashkortostan provides for subsidizing flights of Utair airline from the Ufa airport in the amount of 80 million rubles. This is due to the expansion of the carrier’s flights, TASS cites the head of the regional State Committee for Transport and Road Facilities Timur Mukhametyanov.

According to the official, today financing of the airline from the republican budget is 100 million rubles. The State Committee considers these funds as insufficient. Additional funding will allow the development of the Ufa air transport hub as an airport serving transit passengers traveling from Siberia to the central and southern regions of the country. Today the republic subsidizes eight flights of an air carrier.

Utair is the fourth-largest airline in Russia. In 2018, it transported 7.9 million passengers.
