Bashkortostan ranked 42nd in Russian middle class rating

RIA Novosti published a rating of the regions according to the share of the middle class.
According to statistics, Bashkortostan is on the 42nd line of the rating. The share of middle-class families in the republic is 11.7 percent.
Most of the middle class of the country lives in the north of the country. The highest share of the middle class is in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug - 45.2 percent. The five leaders are also the Magadan Region (34.5%), Chukotka Autonomous District (33.8%), Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District - Yugra (32.1%) and Nenets Autonomous District (28.9%).
Moscow ranks seventh in the ranking with 26.8%, followed by St. Petersburg - 25.7%. Our closest neighbors are Chelyabinsk Region in 26th place (13.4%), the Republic of Tatarstan in 38th place (11.9%).
The rating is closed by the Republic of Dagestan (2.9%), the Chechen Republic (2.5%) and the Republic of Ingushetia (1.9%).
