Russians tend to buy fewer luxury cars

In Russia, the new luxury car market amounted to 666 vehicles according to the results of the first half of 2019. This is 8.4% less than in January - June last year. Such data are provided by the Avtostat analytical agency.

Mercedes-Benz Maybach S-Class remains the most popular model. 252 Russians became the owners of this car, the minimum cost of which is 9 million 560 thousand rubles. This is equivalent to 38% of all sales of luxury cars in the six months of this year.

The second place belongs to the Bentley Continental GT model with 93 purchased vehicles. Another representative of the British brand - the Bentayga SUV (78 cars) closes the top three leaders in the luxury segment.

Further in the ranking, there are two Italian crossovers with comparable indicators - Maserati Levante and Lamborghini Urus (59 and 56 vehicles, respectively).

Besides, the list of the ten most popular luxury cars in Russia includes Rolls-Royce Cullinan (46 cars), Rolls-Royce Wraith (20 cars), Maserati Ghibli (9 cars) and Lamborghini Aventador (8 cars).

Two models with the same results close the list - Ferrari Portofino and Rolls-Royce Ghost, each of which was purchased in the amount of six vehicles.
