In Ufa, a reconstruction of the main building of the railway station continues. This year, work is underway on the ground and first floors, the facade will be finished. The contract for the next stage of reconstruction of the Ufa railway station worth 296 million rubles went to the Moscow-based “Monte-AVO” LLC, major contractor for Russian Railways and its divisions.
The progress of reconstruction of the railway station was reviewed today by the Acting Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov. He examined the progress of construction work on the first and second floors of the main building. He was told that in 2020-2021 platforms No. 2 and No. 3 would be reconstructed with the expansion of staircases and the arrangement of elevators for low-mobility groups, as well as the extension of the pedestrian tunnel and the construction of a new passenger platform No. 4. These types of work will require about 774 million rubles.
Now they are looking for an investor to construct a six-story hotel with 100 beds. In 2017, the cost of its construction was estimated at 207 million rubles.
This year, the works will be completed before November 30.
The volume of capital investments in the repair of the Ufa railway station by the Russian Railways amounted to more than 1 billion rubles over the years, and it is planned to spend 1.8 billion rubles for all four stages.
After inspecting the railway station, Radiy Khabirov went to Iglino station. During the trip, Radiy Khabirov discussed with Russian Railways representatives the issues of reconstruction of railway stations, access roads to them.
In Iglino, the head of the republic talked with the leadership of the district administration. Radiy Khabirov noted the importance of developing affordable, safe, and comfortable suburban transportation. “We hope that in a few years there will be a looped railway connection around Ufa,” said Radiy Khabirov, answering journalists' questions.
