Investments in Bashkiria economy increased by 13.6% to 106 billion rubles for six months - Khabirov

UFA, 9 August 2019. /Bashinform News Agency, Azat Gizatullin/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/.
About 106 billion rubles were invested in the economy of Bashkortostan in the first half of 2019, an increase of 13.6 percent compared to the same period last year. The most considerable activity is observed in the field of construction, agriculture, and manufacturing. Large companies and enterprises make almost 70% of investments. These are Bashneft, Gazpromneftekhim, UMPO, UGOK, Polyef, BSC, Kronospan and other companies. The Acting Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov today at a meeting of the Investment Council of the Republic noted that the remaining 30% fell on small and medium-sized enterprises. At the same time, in the first half of the year, their number grew by 4 thousand and reached 131 thousand, which indicated prospects for further business development.
According to the head of the region, the infrastructure is improving, the Ministry of Economic Development has previously approved three applications for the creation of three industrial parks in the republic.
“Yesterday I signed a decree on the creation of the Proactive Investment Club“ Alga, Bashkiria! ”. We need such a consultative platform to work more closely with experts, to generate new ideas and solutions, and make recommendations on how to improve the business climate in the republic. The club will award the Investor of the Year Award in several categories and determine the winner with the presentation of the Grand Prix. I propose to hold the first meeting at the end of the year. I believe that this will be a useful and exciting story,” said Radiy Khabirov.
The head of the region once again noted that such an increase in investment in the republic is observed for the first time and this is the result of extensive and well-coordinated work. In his opinion, a quantum leap forward is possible only if the government will support the business.
“I want to repeat that large enterprises of the republic will cope on their own; they have their own significant investment programs. The main thing for us is to support them to be nearby. We need to help small and medium-sized businesses and work actively to attract investment, ”said the head of the region.
