Bashkiria light industry modernization requires annual support of 600 million rubles

600 million rubles annually will be required for the modernization of light industry in Bashkiria. This amount includes measures to attract specialists, subsidies for the purchase of raw materials and participation in exhibitions, soft loans. This was stated by Minister of Industry and Innovation Policy Alexei Karpukhin at a meeting of the Investment Committee in the administration of the Head of the Republic.

At his request, the meeting participants - leaders of major enterprises, spoke about the desired support measures. The general director of the Neftekamsk “Iskoz” joint-stock company, Liana Kirshina, asked to support the company when applying for a subsidy under the federal program - funds for the reconstruction of premises.

The lack of qualified specialists was also identified as the most important problem by Mikhail Tsukerman, the general director of the Ufa CJSC “Workwear Combine”. An equally important issue is salary.

The general director of Magellan Group Igor Shalnov said that the company planned to attract visiting workers on a rotational basis - from the republic, from other regions of the country, from the CIS countries, for which a hostel should be built. And he complained about the difficulties with obtaining loans for the release of new collections (the company manufactures overalls for law enforcement agencies; until 2008, for 16 years it was an exclusive supplier of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and more recently, Rosguardia).

Also, the heads of the Davlekanovo shoe factory “Sandra” and the Tuymazinakaya down products factory “Serafimovskaya Pushinka” also participated in the work of the Investment Committee.

According to the Ministry of Industry, 6,400 people, mostly women, are employed at republican enterprises of light industry. The average salary in the industry is 16 thousand rubles. (at the factories of Magellan Group of Companies - 25 thousand rubles, at Sandra - 13 thousand rubles).

“You can’t endlessly compete only with low prices and at the expense of the salaries of the team and the lack of investment programs. We should think about technological improvements in labor productivity, ”said Radiy Khabirov. He instructed the Ministry of Industry RB to analyze options for supporting light industry, taking into account the position of enterprises and the capabilities of the republic.
