Chekmagushevsky Dairy Plant problems will be considered at Investment hour

Issues of support and resumption of production at the Chekmagushevsky Dairy Plant will be considered at one of the next “Investment Hour” sessions. The Acting Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov gave such an order after he inspected the shops of the enterprise manufacturing products under the brands “Krai Kuraya”, “Chestnoe Korovie”, “ Syr Sabinsky”, “Dve Korovki”.

To date, according to the General Director of the enterprise, Alexander Nikitin, the plant is idle, employees are on unpaid leave since the beginning of summer.

Due to a shortage of working capital and protracted negotiations with Rosselkhozbank JSC on opening a credit line for the BASHMILK group of companies, the management of Chekmagushevsky Dairy Plant LLC decided to stop production since April 2019, and steps were taken to stabilize the situation.

The Ministry of Agriculture of Bashkiria is taking measures to restore production activities, including through joint negotiations with Rosselkhozbank JSC and attracting a potential investor. The head of the enterprise also noted that a decision had been made to resume the production of dairy products at the Chekmagushevsky Dairy Plant at the end of August this year.

The Chekmagushevsky Dairy Plant is part of the Bashmilk Group of Companies together with the Dyurtyulinsky and Sabinsky Dairy Plants. Last year, the holding took the 20th place in the rating of the largest milk processors in Russia, compiled by the Dairy Market Research Center.

Since 2011, a large-scale investment project to modernize production has been implemented here. The total investment by 2016 amounted to 620 million rubles. In the next two years, another 23 million rubles were invested.

In 2016, the TetraPak series packaging line and two sterilizers with a capacity of 7200 and 10 000 l/min were installed at the plant.

Total, about 130 people work at the Chekmagushevsky Dairy Plant.
