Bashkiria ranked third in Russia in terms of mortgage lending

Bashkiria ranked third in the rating of regions in terms of housing mortgage lending compiled by the joint credit bureau of Russia.

“In the second quarter of 2019, Bashkiria became one of the leaders among the regions of Russia in terms of mortgage lending, showing an increase of 31% compared to the same period last year. The first place went to Moscow and the Moscow region, the second - to St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region”, said Anastasia Sablikova, press secretary of the State Committee RB for construction and architecture.

In Moscow and the Moscow Region, during this time, 29.5 thousand mortgage loans were issued, amounting to 123.64 billion rubles (13% less than last year).

In St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, borrowers received 13.77 thousand loans worth 39.33 billion rubles (21% less than last year).

In Bashkiria, the number and volume of loans granted reached 9.05 thousand and 16.63 billion rubles. The republic became the only region out of the top ten, where mortgage lending growth was observed, the State Committee for Construction of Bashkiria added.
