Central Bank has lowered its key rate for second time this year.

The Central Bank lowered the key rate to 7.25 percent. Previously, it was 7.5 percent, the regulator informs.

This decision was made today by the Board of Directors of the Bank of Russia.

On June 14, the regulator lowered the key rate from 7.75% to 7.5% for the first time since last March. Simultaneously, it was stated that the Bank of Russia admitted a possibility of another one or two cuts in the key rate by the end of this year, provided that the situation would develop in accordance with its baseline scenario.
