Bashkiria consumer market shows positive tendencies

Since the beginning of this year, the positive trend of the consumer market development has developed in Bashkiria, it was reported at a meeting of the board of the regional State Committee for Trade.

The retail trade turnover for the first half of this year grew by 3.2%, compared to January-June 2018, which is higher than the figure in the Volga Federal District and the average in Russia.

The consumer price index was at the level of 102.4%. It is also slightly higher than a year ago.

Today in Bashkortostan there are more than 25 thousand retail objects, about 500 retail chains. At the same time, the number of shopping facilities in the region is growing. Accordingly, the total retail space is increasing.

“This year large objects were commissioned in Ufa, Belebey and Chishminsky district of the republic. Among them are the “Mokko” and “Perekrestok” stores with an area of ​​more than 1,500 square meters in Ufa, a car center with an area of ​​over 2,700 square meters in Belebey, as well as two shopping facilities in the Chishminsky district. The total amount of investments exceeded 215 million rubles”, stated Guzel Asylova, the Chairman of the State Committee RB for Trade.

As it was emphasized at the meeting following the results of the half-year, the positive trend is also observed in the wholesale trade. The absolute value of trade turnover in Bashkortostan amounted to 470.9 billion rubles.

A further increase in commodity turnover is expected due to the “development of new elements of the wholesale market infrastructure”, including various forms of electronic commerce.
