Industrial production index in Bashkiria twice exceeded national average

In June, the industrial production index, as compared with June 2018, grew in the republic by 5.4%. On average, in the first six months of 2019, it increased by 4.4%, compared to the same period last year, Bashkortostan Statistic Agency reports.

For comparison: in Russia as a whole, this indicator increased by 2.6% in the first half of 2019.

According to the statisticians of the region, positive trend in January-June 2019 was observed in Bashkiria in mining (11.9%), manufacturing (1.1%), provision of electric energy, gas and steam; air conditioning (4.4%), water supply, wastewater disposal, waste collection and disposal, pollution control (4.9%).

Among the manufacturing industries, the increase in production volumes against January-June last year was marked in the production of electrical equipment (55.9%), other vehicles and equipment (52.1%), wood processing (44.3%), production of computers, electronic and optical products (40.6%).

At the same time, as compared with the first half of 2018, the republic lagged behind in repair, installation, production of machinery and equipment by 26.1-26.9%, finished metal products, leather and leather goods - by 12,7-13.4%, textiles - by 11%. There is a negative trend in the production of other products. Among them, there were food products, non-metallic mineral products, paper production, and metallurgical production.
