E-commerce was discussed at “Time to Export” Forum in Ufa

At the Ufa forum “Time to Export” operators of the largest international electronic platforms in a business game format told about e-commerce using examples.
Alexey Murzenov, Director for Development of Electronic Commerce of the Russian Export Center JSC, said that the largest e-commerce market today is China. 22% of all goods purchased in China go through e-commerce. In Russia, this figure reached only 1.5%. Commercial Director of Epinduo (a company that helps Russian manufacturers register in the most significant Asian electronic marketplaces) Anastasia Tarasevich explained that was due to the unwillingness of Russian manufacturers to deliver goods in the quantity that the Chinese partner needed taking into account delivery and deferment of payments terms. She also noted that now the area of food products was receiving special development.
Further, Alexey Murzenov said that every fifth citizen of China bought at least one foreign-made goods weekly, while “every fifth citizen of China is the entire population of Russia”. He also highlighted other promising markets - India and Africa.
Maria Kadantseva, CEO of MD-Insight LLC (representative of Alibaba.com) noted that the number of Russian companies in the e-commerce market had tripled in three years. Now their number is about 50,000, about 400 of them with the status of "gold sellers".
Commodity producers from Bashkiria are also ready for online sales. Some of them are already collaborating with companies, including Wildberries. Sales through this site generate revenue of about 120 million rubles a year.
Earlier, the Bashinform News Agency reported that 800 export-oriented companies operated in Bashkortostan, of which 650 were small and medium-sized enterprises. Only 20 large commodity producers 90 formed percent of exports.
