Radiy Khabirov inspected houses built for relocation of Amzya residents from flimsy dwellings

UFA, 16 July 2019. /Bashinform News Agency, Azat Gizatullin/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/.
Eight houses built in the village of Amzya for the relocation of residents living in dilapidated dwellings, actually stand empty. Sixty-six families do not want to move there, as they consider these houses uninhabitable. The head of Bashkortostan inspected two uninhabited apartments, examined the living premises.
While communicating with the residents, Radiy Khabirov said that he would give instructions to create a special interdepartmental commission, which should examine the built townhouses to identify shortcomings, which would then be corrected.
According to the head of the region, it is better to move into already finished houses with deficiencies that will be corrected than to live in dilapidated houses or hutments.
Radiy Khabirov promised to come to Amzya again at the end of September and personally monitor the progress of the repairs in the houses.
The situation with new housing for displaced people has been disturbing Neftekamsk for years. In 2013, in the village of Amzya, in three months, nine prefabricated panel houses were built. Residents refused to move there, considering these houses to be “cardboard” and more life-threatening than the dilapidated dwellings without amenities. During this time, there was litigation between residents, the city administration, and the developer. As a result, the court found those houses unfit for occupation, the administration of Neftekamsk was forced to take a municipal loan of 90 million rubles and build two new apartment buildings for the settlers.
