Containers for collecting polyethylene, glass and paper are installed in Ufa residential areas

New special containers for polyethylene, glass, and paper are installed at the sites for the collection of household waste from residential buildings in Ufa. Each container has its own color: red - for glass, blue - for paper, yellow - for plastic.

Currently, in Ufa, nine container sites are equipped for separate collection. Three of them are located in the Leninsky neighborhood, six - in the Kirovsky neighborhood of the capital. In the near future, it is planned to equip two more separate collection container sites in the Ordzhonikidzevsky neighborhood.

Collected recyclables will be removed as the containers are filled with special vehicles, which on certain days must take away plastic, paper, and glass separately. Waste that cannot be sorted will be removed for disposal at the landfill in Cherkassy.

Now the main focus will be made on the separation of garbage directly at the collection points. Most of all, the selective collection of plastic bottles is develope in Ufa. Several hundred mesh modules are installed in different parts of the city to this end.
