Radiy Khabirov launched construction of Republican Cardiology Center’s surgical building

Today, the long-awaited construction of the surgical building of the Republican Cardiology Center began in Ufa. The Acting Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov laid a capsule at the base of the building, and then the foundation was covered with concrete. Before the ceremony, the head of the republic was told about the stages of the construction work. A representative of the contractor company "Firm SU-10" assured Radiy Khabirov that the builders planned to commission the building by the end of 2020. According to the chief physician of the Republican Cardiology Center Irina Nikolaeva, after the construction of the surgical building, the reconstruction of the first three floors of the existing building will begin, which will end in 2021. The polyclinic will also move to the new building. Construction of a surgical building under the terms of the contract will cost 2.62 billion rubles.

It will be a modern complex with a diagnostic center with comfortable double rooms for patients. Modern medical equipment will be installed, which will allow an increase in the number of operations for residents of the republic and neighboring regions who are striving to get treatment in our cardiology center. The complex will also have a sports ground, a new modern conference hall, play areas and recreation areas for young hospital patients.

“In recent years, this is the largest health facility that we are starting to build. I am negotiating with all federal agencies on co-financing the construction of a new building. During the meeting with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, this was the first question I raised and asked for assistance. Dmitry Medvedev supported us in this matter. We are also fully supported over this issue by the Ministry of Health of Russia, as they know that the level of cardiac care in the republic is very high. The Cardiology Center is one of the top three, the best in the number of major, high-tech operations, that certainly helps me to negotiate,” said Radiy Khabirov, answering journalists' questions. “This year we are also commissioning two large clinics and about 25 rural health stations. The construction of new hospitals in Tuymazy, Dyurtyuli, Yazykovo is proceeding at a high rate. Volumes are very large. Our ultimate goal is to make people live longer and be healthy”.

Recall that Bashkortostan asks for 2.5 billion rubles from the federal center for the construction and reconstruction of the medical institution.
