43% of Russian car market accounts for 10 models

According to the Avtostat analytical agency, this year officially 275 models of new cars of 48 different brands are represented in the Russian market.

At the same time, 43% of sales, or 273 thousand from 643 thousand vehicles, are accounted for only ten models of six brands. In the first five months of 2019, two models of AVTOVAZ - LADA Granta and Vesta - occupy 8.3% and 7.4% of the domestic market for new passenger cars, respectively.

The Korean car industry holds from third to the fifth position - KIA Rio has a market share of 6.2%, and Hyundai Creta and Solaris - 4.5% and 3.9%, respectively.

They are followed by the Volkswagen Polo (3.5%), LADA Largus (2.6%), Renault Duster (2.4%), Skoda Rapid (2.1%).

Renault Logan closes the top ten in Russia (2.1%), according to the website of the Avtostat Agency.
