Small and medium business in Bashkortostan occupies 40 percent segment in region’s economy

UFA, 27 June 2019. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/.
Currently, the share of small and medium-sized businesses in the total turnover of enterprises and organizations of Bashkortostan is more than 40%. It is largely due to government support measures, the Speaker of the republican parliament Konstantin Tolkachev announced at a meeting of the Association of state power legislative (representative) bodies of the Volga Federal District subjects RF held in Kazan.
“More than 350 million rubles were allocated to implement the activities of the “Development and support of small and medium-sized businesses of the Republic of Bashkortostan” state program in 2018. These are mainly funds from the republican budget, ”said Konstantin Tolkachev. “Last year, small and medium businesses were granted 240 microloans in the amount of about 405 million rubles. This business segment received 26 guarantees in the amount of about 270 million rubles from the guarantee fund, which made it possible to attract more than 700 million rubles of credit resources. The regional leasing company provided support to 26 medium and small entrepreneurs for a total amount of almost 1.4 billion rubles. ”
The Speaker of the republic’s parliament noted that “additional regulations for encouraging self-employed citizens, including as compensation for a part of the interest rate on loans on the terms of federal co-financing should be developed. It is also necessary to continue the development of a bill combining non-tax payments into a single register to simplify their regulation, and to adopt a law on non-tax payments. Besides, the status of persons using the special tax regime “tax on professional income” should be legally determined in order to apply state support measures to them and to finalize in regional legislation the basic issues of creating and operating business service centers. ”
“The development of regions as a whole depends on private initiative, the success of goal-oriented, hardworking, active people. The development of small and medium-sized businesses is one of the priorities for breakthrough changes in the Russian economy, ” Konstantin Tolkachev summarized.
