Chishminsky sugar plant waste will cease poisoning environment

Waste from beets processing from the Chishminsky sugar plant will no longer poison the environment. Here it is planned to start producing granulated pulp from waste. Products will be exported to other countries. The investment project was presented to the head of the republic in the Government House on June 13.

Now the Chishminsky sugar factory produces up to 3,800 tons of sugar beet per day. Every year, up to 400 thousand tons of raw pulp is formed during the season during the processing of sugar beet. Of these, a maximum of 25% is recycled, the rest is taken to the fields and utilized. According to environmentalists, beet pulp has a fifth hazard class - storing it in the fields leads to a violation of the ecological system, and it takes at least three years for its self-restoration.

As part of the investment project, it is planned to purchase and install pulp presses, pulp drying equipment, a granulator for the production of granulated pulp at the plant and build a warehouse. Expansion of production capacity will allow drying the entire volume of raw pulp and producing granulated pulp up to 30 thousand tons per year.

This product is of high demand; it is used in the feed industry and in feeding animals. The pulp is planned to be sold in the Netherlands, Latvia, Denmark, Ireland, Finland, Turkey, said the deputy director of the Bashkir Meat Company Rinat Zaynullin. The cost of 1 ton of pulp is 1500 rubles. The first batch for export will be shipped in mid-2020.

The total investment in the project is 452 million rubles, of which 45% (202 million) are own funds, and 250 million rubles are borrowed funds. The implementation of the project will make it possible to receive more than half a billion rubles in tax deductions to the budget.

The company requests for support in the form of tax incentives - 47 million rubles and subsidizing part of the cost of purchasing equipment in the amount of 102 million rubles.
