Radiy Khabirov estimated Bashkortostan delegation work favorably at SPIEF-2019

The Acting Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov positively assessed the results of work of the republican delegation at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

“I would like to thank everyone who participated. We will continue our work as we have further tasks to solve. We live in a very active competitive environment when all regions compete for investments. Though, it is even more exciting”, he said at a briefing session in the republican Government on June 10.

As reported by Bashinform News Agency, the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum-2019, held from 6 to 8 June, was a record for our republic in attracting investment.

For two days of the forum, investment agreements brought Bashkortostan about 82 billion rubles of funds. As a result of the investment projects, nearly three thousand new jobs should appear in Bashkortostan. This is a record figure for the entire period of the republic’s participation in the SPIEF, the Government of the region informs.

For comparison: in 2018 the results of the republic were much more modest - the portfolio of investment agreements amounted to 30 billion rubles. This year, Bashkiria more than doubled this figure.
