Bashkiria signed agreements worth almost 11 billion rubles on second day of SPIEF-2019

On the second day of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Republic of Bashkortostan signed six agreements, of which three were investment contracts worth 10.8 billion rubles.
Among the most significant agreements was the construction of the Sibayskaya substation, the development of power generation for power supply to remote and isolated consumers, including renewable energy sources by the Rosatom Corporation. The total amount of investment intentions amounted to 7 billion rubles.
An agreement on investment intentions was concluded between the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the VIS group, which intends to participate in the implementation of infrastructure projects in a Public Private Partnership format. The group works in the areas of medicine, recycling, transport infrastructure. The VIS management is considering the creation of facilities worth at least 5 billion rubles.
Besides, an agreement was signed on cooperation in training in fuel and energy area between the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the state petroleum technical universities.
In addition, an agreement was entered into between the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Advanced Research Fund. Four investment projects are planned to be financed through the fund. These are projects to create a new generation of batteries, technologies for producing ultrahigh-molecular polyethylene, creating carbon-carbonic materials of a new generation, and also to introduce technologies for detecting cancer at early stages within 2 minutes.
The forum also held working meetings with the Federal Center for Competence in Labor Productivity, United Heineken Breweries LLC CEO, Baudevain Haarsma, JSC DSK AVTOBAN, Sberbank Leasing JSC, VTB, and others.
