Bashkiria Government has concluded cooperation agreement with Rosatom

The Government of Bashkortostan has concluded an agreement on cooperation with Rosatom state corporation. The document was signed by the Acting Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov and Rosatom CEO Alexei Likhachev at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
It concerns the implementation of measures aimed at ensuring reliable and high-quality power supply to consumers of Bashkortostan to attract new investors to the republic, in particular, due to the multiple decrease in the time of substations construction with the use of modular solutions implemented by enterprises of Rosatom state corporation.
Besides, joint participation in the "Energy Efficiency and Energy Sector Development" state program is planned.
The agreement also provides for the development and creation of products for the needs of the power industry with their subsequent promotion, modernization of the most problematic areas of the regional power grid, substation and generating facilities using modern, economically viable technological solutions and equipment, including those produced by Bashkortostan enterprises and Rosatom.
The document supposes the formation of the electricity supply and information infrastructure and the implementation of digital technologies, including international strategic partnerships.
Rosatom State Corporation was established in 2007 and unites about 400 enterprises and organizations, including the world's only atomic icebreaking fleet. They employ a total of about 250 thousand people.
Rosatom is the largest electricity producer in Russia, providing over 18% of the country's energy needs. Rosatom's strategy is to develop green energy generation projects, including wind power.
As reported by Bashinform News Agency, on June 6, on the first day of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, representatives of Bashkortostan signed 14 agreements, seven of which were the investment ones for the total amount of 70 billion rubles.
