RAILGO is going to build railway-car repair works in Bashkiria worth 20 billion rubles

RAILGO, one of the leading freight forwarding companies in Russia, will create railway-car repair works in Ufa and transfer its degassing tankers and gas barrels enterprise to Bashkiria.

The corresponding investment agreement between the Government of Bashkortostan and RAILGO was concluded at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on June 6. The document was signed by the Acting Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov and RAILGO Chairman of the Board Rakhman Khalilov.

“By the end of this year, we are planning to launch the railway-car repair works in Ufa. The investment project cost is about 20 billion rubles. The total number of employees will be 250 people. We are planning to repair up to 200 freight cars monthly. This will be solely the repair of the oil tanks” Rahman Khalilov told journalists after the meeting. “Besides, before the end of the year – not later until February 2020, we will transfer to your republic from the Volga our own company engaged in the degassing of cars. The planned capacity will be from 200 to 300 tanks and gas reservoirs. We want to develop in the regions, including in Bashkortostan. ”

As the RAILGO Chairman of the Board stressed, Bashkortostan was not chosen by chance. There are many oil refineries in the republic and its neighboring regions, and products manufactured by RAILGO will be in demand by them.
