Radiy Khabirov led Bashkiria delegation at St. Petersburg Economic Forum

The Acting Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov headed the official delegation of the republic at the 23rd St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which takes place from June 6 to 8.

The head of the republic will take part in a plenary meeting of the forum “Forming the Sustainable Development Agenda”, an energy panel session, and will speak at a business discussion “Sport for Everybody: World Trends and Business Approach.”

Within the framework of the forum, it is planned to sign cooperation agreements with regions, financial and credit organizations, enterprises and funds, as well as agreements on the implementation of major investment projects with leading Russian and foreign companies. Among them, there is Rosneft, Rosatom, Sberbank, Uralsib, Rostelecom, Pochta Rossii, KAMAZ, RAILGO, Hevel, Solar Systems, Gazprom LNG Technologies, Marubeni Corporation, the press service of the head of the Republic informs.

The working program of the delegation includes meetings, panel sessions, and participation in round tables on key issues of the socio-economic development of the country and regions.

An exhibition exposition of Bashkortostan will be organized at the forum, where the potential of the territories of priority economic development and the special economic zone being created, as well as projects of the republican companies in the field of logistics, petrochemistry, labor productivity, energy, and transport, will be presented. Exposition stand area of about 100 square meters includes several negotiation zones, a zone for signing agreements, a presentation screen, and an investment map of the territory.

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) has been held since 1997. Since 2006, it is conducted under the patronage of the President of the Russian Federation. Over the past years, the forum has become the leading global platform for communication between business representatives and discussion of crucial economic issues facing Russia, emerging markets, and the world as a whole.
