Bashkiria signed first agreements at St. Petersburg International Economic Forum

The Republic of Bashkortostan signed the first cooperation agreements in various fields at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which opened on June 6.
The first document in a row was the signing of an Action Plan for the implementation of an agreement between the Governments of Bashkortostan and Tatarstan on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation for the years 2019-2022. The documents were signed by the Acting Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov and the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
The trade turnover between the two regions is growing, relations are getting stronger in almost all areas, but the scope of work is still vast. The exchange of experience, best practices is a must, Radiy Khabirov stated.
The document, in particular, provides for the holding in 2020 of the Days of the Republic of Bashkortostan in the Republic of Tatarstan. As part of this event, a concert program will be organized with the participation of artists, sports and youth events, a presentation of the industrial potential and tourist potential of the region, as well as visits to leading enterprises of Tatarstan.
The next document signed at SPIEF-2019 was an agreement between Bashkortostan and PJSC Rostelecom on cooperation as part of the Smart City project. The document was signed by the Head of the region, Radiy Khabirov, and the president of the company, Mikhail Oseevsky.
Among the main areas of the project is the creation of digital systems for managing urban resources, including housing and utilities, as well as the hardware and software complex of a safe urban environment, including monitoring of public transport and traffic, organization of parking space, video surveillance.
It was decided to launch the project in the cities of Ufa, Sterlitamak, Salavat, Neftekamsk, and Oktyabrsky.
As the head of Rostelecom, Mikhail Oseevsky, explained to journalists, the smart city concept covers all spheres of human activity.
On the same day, Radiy Khabirov met with the Governor of the Kemerovo Region Sergey Tsivilov. The parties discussed the development of interregional cooperation in the economy and social sphere.
Following the meeting, an agreement was signed between the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Government of the Kemerovo Region - Kuzbass on trade, economic, scientific, technical, social and cultural cooperation.
