Bashkiria is ready to supply buses, trolleybuses and agricultural equipment to Moldova

Bashkortostan is ready to increase trade with Moldova and, in addition to petrochemical products, will supply equipment produced at the machine-building plants of our republic. Bashkiria is prepared to provide buses and trolley buses, as well as agricultural equipment. It was stated by the Acting Head of the republic Radiy Khabirov during a meeting of the business circles of Moldova and Bashkortostan.

“The trade turnover between the republic and Moldova is still small, but there is quite a significant potential to increase it. Bashkortostan is undoubtedly interested in wine-making products in terms of price-quality ratio, ”said the head of the region.

In the meantime, the production of Moldovan winemakers in the total volume of wines supplied to the republic is only one percent.

“Russia is a strategic partner of Moldova, and our country cannot survive without it. Russia is also the number one foreign investor in the economy of our country. In 2018, our trade turnover amounted to more than one billion dollars, but this figure does not suit us, ”said Moldovan President Igor Dodon.

He invited businessmen of the republic to visit their country, noting that Moldova is open and hospitable to everybody. The country has free trade with the CIS countries, the European Union and Turkey, and you can sell goods produced in Moldova duty-free. The country has free economic zones, free sites, where you can invest and create new industries.

“We are very actively developing other sectors, in particular, IT-technologies. However, our country is fascinating in terms of tourism. So far, few tourists from Russia visit Moldova - only 200 thousand a year, and Russians have not yet discovered it, ”said Igor Dodon.

The President of Moldova invited the delegation of Bashkortostan to take part in the forum of the regions of the two states, which will be held in Chisinau in late September.

Cooperation in the humanitarian sphere can also reach a new level. The rector of the Bashkir State University Nikolay Morozkin noted that after yesterday’s meeting of Igor Dodon with the students of the university, the guys had a keen interest in Moldova.
