Belaya Embankment in Ufa: what decision was made by Radiy Khabirov?

The embankment of the Belaya River is the largest infrastructure project of recent years in Ufa. Reconstruction has been going on here since 2014. This year, all four stages of hydraulic structures, built on the embankment of the Belaya River, will be handed over. Permission has already been received to commission the site from the Salavat Yulaev Monument to the automobile bridge in the area of the southern exit from the city. In 2019, the reconstruction of the embankment, including the territory near the Monument of Friendship, will be completed.

The execution of the construction work was examined by the Acting Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov. He saw an amphitheater located at the foot of the mountain, where the Monument to Salavat Yulaev was erected. The outdoor concert venue is designed for 1260 seats. Now construction work is underway here, a stage will be established, and seats will be equipped. Radiy Khabirov drew attention to the fact that all elements of the amphitheater were designed so that it would be convenient both for the audience and for musicians.

“The place here is wonderful, with a view of the monument, the mountain, the river. This is quite a good idea”, said the head of the republic.

The total length of the embankment, where reconstruction is carried out from the railway bridge to Belskaya Street, is 5 km. Landscaping has been carried out, and it is open for walking from the “Yunost” sports complex to the automobile bridge. Works will be completed by July 1. "Dortranstroy" also began construction of a road in the area of the Friendship Monument, which should be completed by July 30 of this year.

The head of the Ufa administration, Ulfat Mustafin, asked the head of the republic to consider the issue on design and construction of a section of the highway on the embankment to the “Pravaya Belaya” station with a length of 1.8 km.

Radiy Khabirov approved the proposal and instructed to begin the design works. The head of Bashkortostan also approved reconstruction of the road going to Belskaya Street. Ulfat Mustafin noted that urgently it was necessary to proceed with the reconstruction of Pugachev Street to the bridge over the Ufimka River by expanding it to four lanes.

The Interim Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Raif Abdrakhimov noted that the construction of this road was linked to the concept of the development of the southern entrance and exit from the city. By June 12 it is planned to lay the first stone of the new Belsky bridge. It is assumed that the construction of a new structure will take two and a half years.

This year it is planned to begin the reconstruction of the traffic interchange at the intersection of Salavat Yulaev Avenue and Zaki Validi Street. In the area of the Monument of Friendship, construction began on an underground pedestrian crossing under Sochinskaya Street, which will connect the quay zone with the Monument of Friendship. A major overhaul of the existing underground passage under the 121-meter long Salavat Yulaev Avenue will also be carried out. This underground tunnel has remained closed for almost 30 years.
