Bashkiria has signed cooperation agreement with Chinese Province of Hubei

UFA, 24 May 2019. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/.
The Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of Russia to the Volga Federal District, Igor Komarov, noted that before the launch of the Volga-Yangtze format, only three agreements had been concluded between the regions of the district and the provinces of the Upper and Middle Yangtze River. Since the decision was made in 2013 to create a new format for Russian-Chinese cooperation, the contractual base has already increased to 38 interregional agreements in a relatively short time. He stated this at the next meeting of the Volga-Yangtze format.
“We had amicable, trusting negotiations with the Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of Russia Igor Komarov. We are unanimous that we consider today's meeting as a new start for further study of improving the mechanism of our interaction and cooperation between the two regions, ”said Wang Yong, member of the PRC State Council.
A delegation of Bashkortostan took part in the meeting. The Interim Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Housing and Utilities of Bashkortostan, Mikhail Kireev, said that for five years Bashkortostan had been developing partnerships with the provinces of the Upper and Middle Yangtze River of the People's Republic of China. The basis for successful collaboration was the cooperation agreements concluded between Bashkortostan and the provinces of Jiangxi, Anhui, Sichuan, and the city of Chongqing.
An example of positive investment cooperation is the project for the construction of a cement production plant in the city of Sibay and fiber cement slab plant in Kumertau. During the meeting, nine new investment projects in the field of agriculture and construction were presented to Chinese partners.
The delegation of Bashkortostan met with representatives of the Province of Hubei (China), during which an agreement was signed on cooperation in the trade, economic, scientific, technical and humanitarian fields.
