“Digital Field” was launched into pilot operation in Bashkortostan

The historic event - the launch of the first “Digital Field” into pilot operation took place at the 27th international exhibition “Gas. Oil. Technology". The innovative project is being implemented at the Ilishevskoye field of PJSOC Bashneft and for the first time in the industry covers all the main processes of oil production and logistics.

The opening ceremony was attended by the vice-president of Rosneft, the chairman of the board of Bashneft, Andrei Shishkin, and the Acting Head of Bashkiria Radiy Khabirov.

“We launched this project with a special feeling,” marked the head of the republic. “I think it is quite reasonable that it is our region where the first project of the digital transformation of oil production is carried out. This is the 21st century, and the oil-producing and oil-refining industry is becoming the driver of the Russian economy and tester of the most modern technologies. I believe that this is the future of our country. ”

According to experts, the launch of an innovative project will allow the oil company to remotely control the field facilities, thereby increasing the growth of production indicators and a significant economic effect. The “Digital Field” is located in the Ilishevsky district and it is managed in the city of Dyurtyuli in the Center for Integrated Operations.

Applying technologies only within the framework of Bashneft will provide an additional one million tons of oil through optimizing production. The economic effect will be about a billion rubles a year.

Andrei Shishkin, the Chairman of the Board of Bashneft, stressed that the launch of the first Digital Field was just the beginning.

"To be continued. It would be a digital plant, a digital gas station and the connection between them,” said Andrei Shishkin.

The company also assured that the introduction of digital technologies would be the only possible direction of industry development. The development and launch of the “Digital Field” project were carried out as part of the Rosneft 2022 strategy.
