The trade turnover between the two republics over the past three years almost doubled from $ 372 million in 2016 to 734 million in 2019. According to the head of the department of the Embassy of Belarus in Ufa, Peter Baltrukovich, in 2019 he was tasked by the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to increase mutual trade with Bashkiria by another 7%.
According to the Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Bashkortostan for Foreign Economic Relations Ruslan Mirsayapov, Bashkortostan is interested in localizing the production of Belarusian machinery in Bashkortostan, and not only agricultural equipment for the agro-industrial complex.
Regarding the new level of interaction between the chambers of commerce and industry, Mirsayapov said that the exchange of delegations would continue so that Bashkir enterprises would have new opportunities for cooperation in a reasonably understandable and open market in Belarus.
