Bashkiria is ready to become backbone platform for oil industry digital transformation in Russia

Bashkortostan is determined to cooperate and is ready to become a backbone platform for the digital transformation of the petrochemical industry in Russia, said the Acting Head of the Republic Radiy Khabirov.

As he stressed at the Russian Petrochemical Forum, which opened today in Ufa, the most attention in the region in training specialists was paid to programs related to digital technologies. For example, since last year, the educational site of Rosneft and Bashneft has been successfully operating at Ufa State Petroleum Technological University.

“The agenda of the forum is formed this year around the topic of digital transformation. The digitization of the economy has been defined by the president of our country, Vladimir Putin, as one of the crucial directions of Russia's development. This vector is also essential for increasing the competitiveness of the fuel and energy complex. We are now actively promoting the idea of creating a world-class scientific and educational center in the Ministry of Education of Russia. I hope we will succeed. Bashkortostan is ready to share its experience and best practices in the petrochemical industry,” stated the head of the republic.
