In 2020, a center for nuclear medicine should appear in Sterlitamak, corresponding to an agreement between the Bashkiria Government and MedInvestGroup group of companies signed at the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi. The company will invest 1 billion rubles in the development of the republic's oncological service.
The project involves the creation of a center for the cancer diagnostics and treatment in one of the hospitals of Sterlitamak. It will be equipped with positron emission computed tomography (PET-CT), two linear accelerators and related equipment for radiation therapy. Besides, the project involves the organization of inpatient anti-tumor drug therapy.
“The project will significantly increase the availability of radiation diagnostics and radiation therapy for patients with cancer in the southern subregion,” the Ministry of Health RB noted.
MedInvestGroup develops the national network of PET-technology medical centers (it has been operating in Ufa since 2014), K+31 clinics, produces radiopharmaceuticals, owns a company that designs and builds nuclear centers.
