Federal highways repair will cost 4.5 billion rubles in Bashkortostan

About 100 km of federal highways will be overhauled in Bashkiria this year, Bashinform News Agency was told at the Federal Highway Directorate "Priuralye".

“The cost of repairs planned for this year will be 4.5 billion rubles. The cost of maintaining highways and artificial structures will amount to 1.3 billion rubles,” stated Alsu Babicheva, the press secretary of Federal Highway Directorate “Priuralye”.

The bulk of works will be accounted for the R-240 Ufa-Orenburg highway.

Federal road builders will complete the overhaul and repairs started last season on 59 km of this route.

In addition, this year the road workers will repair about 15 km of the federal highway M-5 Ural in the republic, restore the worn out layers of the covering of almost 15 km on the M-5 Ural, 14.2 km - R-240 Ufa - Orenburg, and 9 km of M-7 Volga highways.

It is expected that by the end of 2019 the share of the federal road network meeting standards will amount to 85%.in Bashkortostan.
