Bashkiria entered Top-5 Regions on public-private partnership development

Bashkiria rose by one position and ranked fourth in the rating of regions for the development of public-private partnership-2018. Experts highly appreciated the region’s vigorous activity regarding the projects under implementation and investment volumes.
“A large-scale and well-coordinated work of the team of the Ministry of Economic Development of Bashkiria has been accomplished in matters of arranging an effective public-private partnership management system, developing the regulatory framework of the republic, and increasing the competence of employees,” commented on Sergey Novikov, the Minister of Economic Development of the region.
The three leading regions in the development of public-private partnerships included Moscow, St.Petersburg and the Moscow Region.
Bashkortostan took the fourth place followed by Samara region and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District.
The rating results were announced in Moscow, at the 6th Infrastructure Congress “Russian Public-Private Partnership Week” that opened on April 23.
The level of development of the public-private partnership is one of the indicators of the National Rating of the investment climate in the regions. The rating is formed by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives.
Currently, more than 30 projects are being implemented in Bashkortostan on the terms of concession agreements. Last year, five agreements were concluded in the areas of housing and public utilities and social services for the population, the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development of the region added.
