AB InBev Efes intends to increase investment in Bashkiria economy

AB InBev Efes JSC plans to increase investments and create new jobs in Bashkortostan. It was discussed today at a meeting in Ufa by the Acting Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, with the company’s President, Dmitry Shpakov. The meeting was attended by the Interim Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture RB Ilshat Fazrakhmanov, Acting Minister of Finance RB Lira Igtisamova, Mayor of Ufa Ulfat Mustafin and representatives of the company.

The parties discussed the prospects for the development of the Ufa branch of AB InBev Efes, which products are sold throughout the country.

According to Dmitry Shpakov, the company is interested in expanding manufacturing capacities in the republic, boosting investment and creating new jobs.

“One new workplace at the plant provides up to 10 new jobs in related fields,” explained the head of AB InBev Efes. “At the same time, 100 percent of excise taxes on the production of our products are transferred to the regional budget.”

Thus, in 2018, the company received about 4 billion rubles of excise taxes from the company’s budget.
