Damage from winter crops failure was estimated at 6 billion rubles in Bashkiria

Of the 430 thousand hectares of winter crops in Bashkiria, 74.4 thousand hectares, or 17.2 percent, are under threat of reseeding. It is planned to re-plant about 170 thousand hectares. This is more than 0.5 million tons of lost crop, or 6 billion rubles of losses, said the Interim Deputy Prime Minister of the Republican Government - Minister of Agriculture RB Ilshat Fazrakhmanov.
According to preliminary data, 10 to 30 percent of winter crops suffered in the region.
“We plan to introduce a state of emergency. I ask you to support this initiative as it is necessary to apply to insurance companies, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia for compensation and exemption from the fines for not achieving the target indicators, ”concluded Ilshat Fazrakhmanov.
According to target indicators established for 2019, agrarians of Bashkortostan should harvest more than 3.4 million tons of grain, 1.260 million tons of sugar beet, 420 thousand oilseeds, 113 thousand tons of vegetables and 44 thousand tons of potatoes.
By April 20, they started sowing early spring grain crops in 14 districts of Bashkiria. Fifteen thousand hectares of land are sown. The sowing campaign in the republic is planned to be completed this spring for 15-20 days.
As previously reported by Bashinform News Agency, areas of the southern forest-steppe - Chishmy, Blagovar, Buzdyak, Karmaskaly, as well as areas of the Urals were affected by the winter crops failure more than others.
