Radiy Khabirov: Bashkortostan is interested in active work with Tatarstan partners

Bashkortostan is interested in dynamic, joint work with Tatarstan partners, further development of industrial cooperation, high-tech industries first of all. This was announced by the Acting Head of the Republic Radiy Khabirov at the Bashkortostan-Tatarstan Business Forum.

“We support the endeavor of Bashkir companies to work in Tatarstan and Tatarstan companies in Bashkortostan. It serves the interests of both republics. We are pleased with the mutual growth of commodity turnover, the expansion of imported and exported products range,” the head of the republic stated.

According to the latest data, the trade turnover between the two republics exceeds 34 billion rubles. In the opinion of the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, this figure must be increased to 50-60 billion rubles a year, especially as the existing potential enables to do it.

“Bashkortostan and Tatarstan are huge markets. Holding the Days of Tatarstan in Bashkortostan is a great opportunity to reiterate our projects and areas for cooperation in the oil and gas sector, mechanical engineering, energy, agriculture. Digital economy, social sphere, education, and science are also very important, ”said Rustam Minnikhanov.

Rustam Minnikhanov told journalists that next year the Days of the Republic of Bashkortostan were planned to be held in Tatarstan, by analogy with those that took place in Ufa on April 17-18. As in Bashkortostan, they will be held as part of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the republic.
