Information blockade of Crimea is broken - Andrei Nazarov

UFA, 19 April 2019. /Bashinform News Agency, Azat Gizatullin/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/.
The Yalta International Economic Forum currently became one of the major business venues where thousands of participants from almost 100 foreign countries come today, Andrei Nazarov, the co-chairman of the “Business Russia” and the YIEF organizing committee, told the Bashinform News Agency. According to him, from the very beginning, the task was to create an international platform in the Russian Crimea and two objectives were pursued: attracting investment and breaking the information blockade of Crimea.
“By the anniversary forum, it became obvious that the blockade is broken. At the first forum there were only 600 participants from 12 countries of the world, and today more than 4,5 thousand participants from 89 countries of the world are registered here, and 600 journalists cover the work of the forum. In this direction, the mission is completed. Although, as before, the authorities of many countries continue to exert pressure on the participants who announced themselves to participate in our forum, ”said Andrei Nazarov. In his opinion, the forum is comparable to such venues as in Davos, St. Petersburg and the Far East. The co-chairman of “Business Russia” said that Bashkortostan was adequately represented at the Yalta Forum.
“Bashkortostan was chosen by the organizing committee as a guest of honor of the Yalta Forum. This status allowed Bashkortostan to show itself in all its glory, to place its tent resembling a Bashkir yurt, in the most central place. The forum participants will see a new side of our republic, where persistent, creative people live, who can achieve their goals, but at the same time are very hospitable,” Andrei Nazarov told the Bashinform News Agency.
