In Nizhny Novgorod, a cruise ship is being built at the “Krasnoye Sormovo” plant - a four-deck motor ship of the mixed river-sea navigation class, which is named after Bashkir writer Mustai Karim.
The ship under construction is designed to transport passengers with a high level of comfort on the cruise lines of the European part of Russia waterways (the Volga, Neva, Don, Ladoga and Onega rivers, the Volga-Baltic Canal, the Moscow Canal, the Volga-Don Canal), with a possibility to reach the Black, Azov and Caspian seas.
The length of the vessel is 141 meters, width - 16.8 meters, the height of the board - 5 meters. The speed is 25 km/h.
Observation lounges, restaurants, bars, a spa, a gym, a hairdressing salon, as well as a large open-air solarium on the upper deck will be provided on board. The passenger capacity is 338 people, the crew size is 76 people.
Given the deep draft, which is about 3 meters, the “Mustai Karim”, most likely, will not be able to float along the main shipping artery of Bashkiria - the Belaya River, which will be accessible to it only in a relatively short period of the spring flood.
Currently, the readiness of the vessel under construction is at over 60%. Delivery of the ship to the customer is scheduled for February 2020, and the first cruise is planned for May next year.
